Development tools

The LinearB development tools were written entirely in C#, using Microsoft .NET. The development tools are delivered as a Visual Studio package, which provides a new project type and a tool window seamlessly integrated within the Visual Studio environment.

The tools were designed to fit cleanly into the Visual Studio look and feel, and thus to minimize any learning curve.

Run-time libraries

The run-time libraries used by LinearB executables are part of the XLL+ Toolkit. They are written entirely in C++. They are the 6th major version of a library that has been used by XLL+ developers since 1998.

The XLL+ run-time libraries have been working successfully with Excel versions from Excel 95 through to Excel 2007.

Certification

LinearB's development follows all available best practice standards. We will be applying for Microsoft logo certification, and we are confident that the product will satisfy all requirements for certification.
